To gather an accurate range of topics that could benefit from a subtle behavioral nudge, we began by interviewing friends from our university across various majors and classes. This initial research helped us identify a range of everyday challenges, which ultimately led us to a narrowed focus on the issue of negative self-talk. From here, we conducted more in-depth interviews, specifically with art majors, to better understand their experiences and perspectives. These conversations provided valuable insight, as well as shaped the foundation for our solution to ensure that it was both relevant and empathetically informed.

Why a Podcast?
A podcast allows the experience to be passive and introspective as it allows the user to listen in on their own time. Podcasts are also more common in use in modern times, which allows us to connect to our intended audience more easily.

The Website
The website allows listeners to learn more about the mission of the podcast, as well as explore more behind the scenes of each episode and participate in discussion questions posed from our topics.

The Case Study
This case study documents the design process behind You're Doing Amazing. It highlights how the principles of Shikake, subtle behavioral nudges, were applied to craft an empathetic, faith-based audio experience that promotes self-compassion and work-life balance. Through interviews, research, and intentional content design, this case study demonstrates how each element of the podcast was developed to encourage mindset shifts from self-criticism to one of growth. By examining our design decisions, challenges, and outcomes, this case study provides insight into how thoughtful, user-centered design can foster emotional resilience and mindfulness through passive and active engagement.

Reflection
While this project was tasked to inform others, both Caroline and I found ourselves learning just as much throughout this process. Creating a podcast from scratch was initially a daunting task, but through extensive research and uplifting support from others, we pieced it together with a result that we both were excited about. This project allowed us to interact with many people with varied experiences and feelings, which expanded our own learning in working with others. This also helped us make strong connections and make new friends along the way. Throughout this process, each of ous gained further knowlegde regarding the user's experience through experience mapping and creating personas, which helped us utilize and strengthen our divergent and convergent thinking in a mindful and productive way. Overall, this project was not only a small nudge intended for art students, but it also nudged us to be better individuals who prioritize our well-being. We hope to continue our podcast and future endeavors to continue to spread self-love for all of those artists who may need to hear our message.
