Description
Flourish is a subscription box designed to promote hands-on learning and development for children by offering a wide range of engaging subjects often missing from traditional school curriculums, such as nature exploration, cooking, and architecture. Tailored to various age groups, each box is carefully curated to provide practical, age-appropriate skills while allowing children to build upon their abilities over time. Parents or guardians have the flexibility to choose boxes every three months based on their child’s evolving needs and interests. Beyond the educational materials, the box itself is crafted to be reusable for imaginative play or converted into modular furniture, ensuring lasting value for both the child and parent. Grounded in a design philosophy that blends functionality with beauty, Flourish emphasizes adaptability, sustainability, and creativity, ensuring each product serves both a practical purpose and inspires joy. Drawing from the legacy of design pioneers like Montessori, Walt Disney, and Alma Siedhoff-Buscher, Flourish integrates play and education in a way that fosters skills for the future while enhancing the parent-child connection. By creating a product that grows with the child and transforms as their needs evolve, Flourish addresses gaps in the current market and provides a lasting foundation for lifelong learning, all while championing eco-conscious practices.

Throughout the progression of this project, our team conducted multiple test prints and went through several rounds of ideation to refine all elements of the subscription box prototype. With each phase, we made thoughtful design choices to help ensure the final product effectively met the needs of our target audience, while staying aligned with our core philosophies and objectives.
